Martin “Matosimi” Šimecek, the renowned developer from Slovakia, has shared the first video of his new game “Q.B.Fox”, entered into the 21st edition of the Atari Bit Byter User Club (ABBUC) contest.
In this peculiar adventure, the player takes control of a little fox whose main ability is to jump in the arcs generated by his urine jets, a mechanic as unusual as it is fun.
The setting is a colorful pixelated landscape, where the protagonist must climb slopes and avoid obstacles that include everything from sleeping dogs to other surprises. This peculiar approach is complemented by an energetic soundtrack that perfectly accompanies the action of the game, making the experience more immersive and dynamic.
This humorous approach, combined with its vibrant music and original gameplay, promises to stand out in the software competition, which this year brings together interesting proposals for Atari 8-bit computers.

This wouldn’t be the first time Matosimi has surprised at ABBUC. In 2021, his puzzle game “Fallen Kingdom” took second place, cementing his reputation as a developer to watch. Other notable titles of his authorship include “Binary Parasite,” “dotA,” “Detonationix,” and “Castle Defender.”
With a total prize pool of at least €2,850 up for grabs, €850 of the ABBUC 2024 prize money will go to the top three winners, while the remaining €2,000 will be distributed based on the votes obtained by each title.
