Inufuto (Japan) continues to surprise the retro community with the release of its sixteenth game, “Bears,” which is now available for various classic computers and consoles, including the Atari 8-bit.
This title combines platform and action elements, where the main objective is to collect all the stars to complete the level. Players must face and defeat monsters, using blocks that can be pushed as weapons.Additionally, by stacking these blocks, it is possible to access areas that would otherwise be inaccessible. If a block disappears, it will reappear in its original location, adding a strategic component to the game.
This release adds to the already extensive collection of titles developed by the Japanese programmer, who has explored a wide range of genres and platforms. His prolific work ranges from mazes to shooters, always with a distinctive touch that stands out on systems such as the TRS-80 CoCo, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Apple II. Inufuto has also left its mark on lesser-known machines in the West, such as the Bandai RX-78, Casio FP-1100, Fujitsu Micro 7, and Sharp MZ-2200 computers, among others. With “Bears,” it continues to cement its legacy as one of the most versatile developers in the contemporary retro scene.
