    Video game competitions organized for Expo Atari Chile 2024

    Atari fans rejoice: Atari Expo 2024 will feature ten retro gaming competitions, offering a unique experience on August 3 and 4.

    On Saturday, August 3, participants will be able to compete in classic games such as “International Karate Champion,” “Archon,” “Tapper” and “River Raid” for the Atari 8-bit console, as well as “Space Invaders” for the Atari 2600 console.

    On Sunday, August 4, the games will be “Pole Position,” “Keystone Kapper,” “Gyruss,” and “Pac-Man” for Atari 8-bit, and “Combat” for Atari 2600.


    In addition, renowned programmer Víctor "Vitoco" Parada will organize a competition with his creation "Atari Pac-Line", awarding the winner during his talk.

    Prizes will include medals with the Atari Expo 2024 logo for the top places, as well as special prizes for some tournaments. The winners of "International Karate Champion" and "Keystone Kappers" will receive a licensed cartridge with the game, thanks to the collaboration of the "Rock&Palancas" community.
    To register, interested parties must send an email to torneos@expoatari.cl with their full name, email address, game they wish to compete in and, optionally, their cell phone number. The tournament rules are available at official websitefrom Atari Expo 2024.

    The Atari Expo, located near the Quinta Normal metro station, will be the perfect place for Atari enthusiasts. With free entry, the event promises to bring together great exhibitors and offer unforgettable experiences.

    This year, attendees will be treated to talks with notable figures such as Robert Jaeger, creator of “Montezuma's Revenge”; Peter Liepa, of “Boulder Dash”; and Howard Scott Warshaw, known for “E.T The Extraterrestrial” and “Yar’s Revenge.”
