Marco "spotlessmind1975" Spedaletti has released "SOKO64+", a puzzle game written in ugBASIC for various 8-bit computers, including the Atari 400/800 and Atari XL/XEGS.
Based on the original SOKO64 game by Emanuele Feronato for the Commodore 64, this new version offers 64 levels designed by David Skinner, all unlocked from the start for players to choose from.In “SOKO64+,” players control a character who must push boxes toward target positions in an enclosed, irregularly shaped area. Only one box can be pushed at a time, and they cannot be pulled. Players can restart the level if they get stuck. The game supports both joystick and keyboard, providing an accessible and challenging experience for all puzzle fans.
It is worth remembering that Spedaletti participated in the NOMAM's BASIC Ten-Liners 2024 competition with two games developed in ugBASIC: «ACME, Inc.», compatible with Atari 400/800/XL/XE, TRS-80 Color Computer 1/2 and Olivetti Prodest PC128, which took eighth place in the EXTREM-256 category; and «Falling Balls», which took thirteenth place in the same class.
