A very dynamic and vibrant addition has arrived to the world of Atari 8-bit computers with the presentation of the demo «Rewind 2», the work of New Generation (NG), Zelax and Radiance.
This innovative work took first place in the Demo Compo category during Lost Party 2024, which took place from July 11 to 14 in Licheń Stary, central Poland.
«Rewind 2» is an impressive collaboration with code developed by Jaroslaw "Solo" Padula, Krzysztof "Święty" Święcicki, Grzegorz "SuN" Żyła, Waldek "Laoo" Pawlaszek, "Dante" and "Yosh".
The graphics were the work of Robert "Tiger" Smoliński, Marcin "Blasph" Kwoka, Łukasz "Pazur" Pazera and Daniel "dely" Koźmiński.
The music, which includes a nostalgic reference to A-ha's classic "Take on Me", was composed by Filip "ZoltarX" Golewski, Krzysztof "Foster" Bryła, Makary Brauner, Michał "Miker" Szpilowski, Piotr "Tatqoo" Świerszcz and Piotr "LiSU" Lis.
It is worth remembering that the “Rewind” series began in 2022, and this second installment continues to raise the standards of creativity and technique in the Atari 8-bit scene.
Without a doubt, “Rewind 2” is a testament to the talent and dedication of the Atari developer community, proving once again that innovation and passion for this classic 8-bit platform are as alive as ever.
