In an effort to provide users with superior typing quality, Bertrand Le Roy (USA) introduces the "Decent XL" keyboard, a mechanical keyboard designed for the Atari 600XL and 800XL models.

Decent XL is available in both modern and vintage versions: the former uses MX-compatible keys and switches, while the vintage adapts the original Atari keys to modern switches.

The project is open-source, and kits and assembled keyboards are sold for those who prefer not to build it themselves.

The "Decent XL" keyboard won the first prize at the ABBUC 2023 hardware competition for its innovation and functionality.

Le Roy is also developing the "Decent 400" keyboard for the Atari 400 computer, offering an improved, more natural key layout.
