After more than 30 years without programming for Atari 8-bits, "Jamers303" (Poland) presents «Wordle», a word game written in Action! where you have to guess a secret word in six attempts.
Two versions are available: one in English and one in Polish. In the English version, simply use the keyboard and press RETURN when you see the prompt. There are 2,315 five-letter words. In the Polish version, there are 1,269 five-letter Polish words in the dictionary, all of them singular nouns without Polish letters.
Wordle has gained popularity online as a simple and addictive word game, which challenges players to guess a word in a limited number of attempts. Each guess must be a valid five-letter word, and after each attempt, you receive some clues: letters in the correct position are colored green; and those that are part of the word but are not in the right place are colored orange.
Created by Josh Wardle (UK) in 2021, the game has gone viral on platforms such as Twitter/X and has inspired numerous variations and adaptations in different languages and platforms.
