Kevin Savetz (USA) has discovered two unreleased versions of the game “Titan,” a project developed by A.N.A.L.O.G. Software in 1982 that never reached stores.

These prototypes show different stages of the game's development, which was led by Tom Hudson and Lee Pappas - who found them on a floppy disk.

According to Savetz, one version is semi-playable and features impressive parallax scrolling, but suffers from collision detection issues and lacks sound, while the other version appears to be from an earlier stage of development, with fewer ground elements and no shooting capability.

According to the game's label, during a routine patrol in Saturnian space, the player discovers hostile alien complexes on the surface of Titan. The objective is to pilot a ship to annihilate cities, military bases, and power cores hidden in the craters of Saturn's largest moon, while fending off enemy cruisers and planetary assault interceptors.

This discovery provides a fascinating insight into a game that, although unfinished, reflects the effort and creativity of its creators, who programmed "Titan" in machine language for a single player.
