The fascinating black and white universe of «SHIFT» unfolds before us with the launch of its full version for Atari 8-bit computers.
Developed by Ali "Haplo" Pouladi (Australia) and based on the popular 2015 title from Armor Games, this logic-platformer immerses us in an environment where appearances can be deceiving and perception becomes the main challenge. The full version of SHIFT offers a total of 36 levels, plus a secret level, providing an extensive and challenging experience for both novice and experienced players. Compatible with both PAL and NTSC machines, the game ensures that Atari enthusiasts around the world can enjoy this masterpiece without restrictions.
In “SHIFT,” the player takes on the role of a subject trapped in a mysterious experiment. Each level is filled with clever puzzles that require the player to flip the room vertically using the fire button to reveal hidden passages and find the exit. However, this ability is disabled in the first two levels and the secret level, adding an extra level of complexity to the adventure. The game allows you to restart the current level by pressing the "R" key on the Atari, and toggle between music and sound effects with the "S" key. These features, coupled with the high-resolution graphics created by Andy Johns and Marukpa, provide an immersive and visually stunning gaming experience on the Atari XL/XE computers.
Ali Pouladi, known for his previous hits “Tenebra Extended” and “Tenebra 2”, has exceeded expectations with “SHIFT”; offering a perfect blend of wit, creativity and challenge, promising hours of entertainment and reflection.
