ArSoft Corporation (Poland) recently published a port of «FlashBier» for Atari 8-bit computers, based on the extended version for Commodore 64.

This is a puzzle game, inspired by the comic series "Werner" - very popular in Germany. The premise is simple: guide the protagonist so that he can enjoy his beer at the end of each level, while avoiding enemies and rocks that threaten to crush you.

Although there was already a previous version for Atari 8-bits called "Werner Flashbier" (Werner Soft, 1985), where each level had to be loaded as .DAT files, this new adaptation was developed for C64 at the Nordlicht Demoparty, in September 2022.

At first glance, FlashBier might seem like another clone of Boulder Dash (First Star Software, 1984). However, as you delve deeper into this game, you will notice that the strategy is different and that it has an extremely particular level design.

For example, you can't push the rocks and the time to find the bottle in each stage is shorter. Also, the music changes in each stage, adding an extra layer of immersion to the gaming experience.

Developed by Arkadiusz "Larek" Lubaszka (code) and Michał "stRing" Radecki (music), FlashBier promises to immerse you in a gaming experience where logic and reflexes are the keys to success.
