Fabrizio Caruso (Italy) presented “Shuriken”, the seventh game developed with his open source framework CrossLib, which can be compiled for nearly 200 devices – including 8-bit computers.
You must navigate the playing field, avoiding touching enemies, being shot at by them or falling into the various traps. The white rings make you invincible, while the blue diamond slows down your opponents. From the third level onwards, you can kill enemies by moving blocks in their paths. As with his previous projects, Cross Shuriken supports both tile-based and non-graphics (ASCII graphics) graphics on over a dozen cross-compilers.CrossLib can be compiled for nearly 200 8-bit computers and consoles - as well as calculators and other devices - without changing the code. More information can be found in the project's GitHub repository.
