Ten waves of asteroids and deadly mines are the challenges posed by "StarRunner", the new shooter competing in the twelfth edition of NOMAM's BASIC Ten-Liners 2023.
Eric "The Ecg Man" Carr entered this second title for the Atari 8-bit computers into the annual competition seeking the best game programmed with a maximum of ten (10) lines of code in BASIC.
The title, written in FastBASIC 4.6, puts us in command of the Pokey Cruiser, a ship equipped with a powerful but limited laser beam; and we must guide it to a secret base hidden deep in the galaxy.
Apart from "StarRunner", Carr participates in thecontest with «Jumpman», a unique game inspired by the classic "Super Mario Bros." (Nintendo, 1985). Likewise,Chilean Victor "Vitoco" ParadaHe scored “Beetles” (FastBASIC 4.6), “Coordinator” (Atari BASIC), and “Sweeper” (FastBASIC 4.6).
The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 1.
