Janusz "Shanti77" Chabowski (Poland) published the first playable version of the port for Atari 8-bit computers of the classic «Commando» (Capcom, 1985) from the Commodore 64 version.
As we reported on Atariteca, Chabowski took advantage of the availability of the code for Chris Butler's original version, which has three levels, as well as the power of the VBXE graphics card for the Atari XL/XE series computers.
The game currently lacks music and sound effects, and runs on computers and emulators set to PAL video mode.
