After almost five years of hiatus, Robert "sOnar" Szerniewicz shared news about "Bandido", an unofficial sequel to the classic adventure game "Zorro" (Datasoft, 1985), for Atari 8-bit computers.
AsWe reported in AtaritecaIt was in August 2017 when Szerniewicz revealed the first images of the project - which at the time had the title "Zorro II - The Curse of the Past".
"Classic Games Shrine (CGS) is still working on this game. Please don't believe the false information that we have abandoned it. It's not easy for us, but we continue to work hard on it despite the many technical issues. We thank everyone who supports us with their heart and soul. It is because of you, dear fans, that we are making this game. We are trying our best. Word of honor," said "sOnar."in the AtariAge forum
In a previous video, published this week on the CGS channel, it is emphasized that although the game will be a tribute to "Zorro", it will only take the atmosphere of that one as a reference since "Bandido" is a completely new creation.
The screenshots show some test screens with titles such as "World of Miners", "The Abyss World", "Fortification", "Ruin World" and "Cursed Adits World" 1-2, as well as announcing a secret stage.

Likewise, it is assured that the graphics of the characters and the setting are 100% complete, as well as the animations and music. In addition, Szerniewicz points out that he had to change the graphics from scratch on three occasions; he even drew the entire art of the game up to four times.
Finally, within the video description there is a link to download an XEX file, which allows us to control the protagonist in a test scenario.
