New tracks, improved graphics and support for more players are offered in the full version of "8-bit Slicks", a top-down racing game available for Atari 8-bit computers, as well as Apple II and Commodore 64/128 computers.
In statements to Atariteca, Anthony "8bit-Dude" Beaucamp - promoter of the 8bit-Unity 0.4 software development kit (SDK) - detailed that the new version has a total of 22 race tracks - twelve more than the free version.
In addition, the game offers the possibility of up to four players simultaneously - one more than in the free version - as well as improved sprites.
Interested parties canregister at this link, where they must indicate whether they want the digital version (costing USD 15) or the future boxed version (at USD 45).
Also, specify which platform you want the game for: the cost increases by USD 10 for each additional type of computer.
«8bit-Slicks» can be played onlinevia FujiNetand DragonCart (Atari); Uthernet (Apple); RR-Net (C64) or 8bit-Hub (Apple, Atari, C64, Lynx, Oric). It can run on an Atari 600XL with 64K RAM, as well as on the 800XL, 65XE and 130XE models. In addition, a 48K version is available for use with Atari 400/800 computers.
