AtariAge forum user "Glurk" completed his version of "Fishing Derby" (Activision, 1980) for the Atari XL/XE series computers.
In this project, Konstantinos “TIX” Giamalidis (Greece) collaborated on the design of the fishermen who star in the game, as well as the shark that prowls the waters of the fish pond.Through the AtariAge forum, "Glurk" detailed that his version includes an "Expert" difficulty option. Likewise, as with his ports of< a href="https://www.atariteca.net.pe/2021/11/download-port-of-barnstorming-for-atari.html">«Barnstorming» and «Frostbite 400», applied minor improvements to the game. "It's like the 2600 version, but hopefully more cute (...) I didn't add much graphically, I stayed close to the original. I changed the fishermen's hats and added eyes, making them look even sillier. Also, an effect that makes fishing lines look underwater," he detailed.
Finally, he said that the published version corresponds to the NTSC standard. "If no one reports any problems, I will make a version with a PAL palette," he said.
