Blokz, the logic-shooter game by Vladimir “Popmilo” Jankovic (Serbia) for the Atari 8-bit computers, has just received new graphics thanks to Konstantinos “TIX” Giamalidis (Greece).

Now, the ship that stars in the game resembles that of"Quarth", arcade published by Konami in 1989; and whose Nintendo NES version served as inspiration for Jankovic.

«Blokz» ranked fourth in the software category in theRetro contest organized by the Atari Bit Byter User Club – ABBUC 2021(Germany).

As we havepreviously reviewed in Atariteca, the objective is to fill the spaces between individual blocks that fall from the top - Tetris style - so that they can form a rectangle and disappear.

Additionally, "Popmilo" has been fixing some bugs in the game entered in this year's ABBUC, which caused, among other things, that the completed rectangles were not completely removed. By the way, the thin lines that appear on the ship are not a mistake, but are also in the original.
