Ute (USA) has just released the beta version of the port of «Return of Fury», sequel to the classic platformer «Bruce Lee» (Datasoft, 1984), for Atari 8-bit computers.
Indeed, despite being a preliminary version, we can choose between one or two players; whether the sumo Yamo is controlled by the CPU or by the other player; activate unlimited lives; deactivate collisions; and change Yamo's color from the original green to a more human-like one.
"It's a difficult game and needs some tweaking, but the infinite lives option should help. The ending screens aren't complete, so I'm not accepting complaints," Ute said in a statement.the AtariAge forum
Let us remember that Vidar "dmx" Bang published in March 2019 this sequel to the game for Commodore 64 computers - which stands out for preserving the style of graphics, music and sound effects of the original title.
Together with Fantômas (France), Ute developed a level generator and months laterEel Ecurb was presented(Bruce Lee in reverse), a version of the platformer where the protagonist must return from the end to the starting point.
By August, Ute hoped to have a version ready by the end of October 2020. However, his work commitments prevent him from devoting the time required for the project. "Fantomas seems interested in finishing, so I will give him what I have," he added.
