Janusz "Shanti77" Chabowski is working on a new version of Bomb Jack (Tecmo, 1984), which promises to run on an Atari computer with standard 64 Kb memory.
Chabowski revealed, through a video posted on his YouTube channel, that he used a modified engine fromits shooter "The Last Squadron"
The previous version, released in 2008 by Poles Krzysztof "Vega" Gora, Tomasz "TeBe" Biela, Terrence "Tezz" Derby and Michal "Miker" Szpilowski, requires a 320 Kb RAM expansion.
«Shanti77» stressed that he is concentrating on porting the arcade version for computers with standard memory; therefore he rules out expanding levels or making improvements. "The mechanics were copied from the C64 (...) The characters are too big, there is little space, you can't fly beyond some platforms," he concluded.
