New enemies and more game modes are what the deluxe edition of the shooter The Last Squadron for Atari 8-bit computers will bring us.
The teaser video, posted by Paweł "Sikor" Sikorski, reveals some important details: three game modes have been introduced, as well as the possibility of two players playing simultaneously.
The Last Squadron -as it has been renamed- now features eight different types of terrain and more enemies. Among the latter, a "walking machine" -similar to the dinosaur from Terra Cresta (Nichibutsu, 1985)- stands out, as well as an "energy barrier".
As can be seen from the eye-catching title screen - the work of Polish gamer Tomek "Carrion" Mielnik - the new version also features UFOs and more level bosses. Krzysiek "Koyot1222" Matys is also involved in the new release.
It is worth remembering that Last Squadron, programmed by Janusz "Shanti77" Chabowski and featuring music by Michal "Miker" Szpilowski, wonin first place in the Atari Bit Byter User Club – ABBUC 2020 contestwith 357 points.
