Relive those legendary games on your Atari 8-bit computer from your favorite browser, for free, without downloads and completely legally.
Thanks to the Internet Archive's growing software library, we can access over 4,700 games for Atari computers.
The extensive catalog covers games published from 1978 to 2010. You can browse by publisher or language; sort the titles alphabetically; or use the internal search engine.
TO PLAY
Step 1.- Enter:Internet Archive- Atari 8-Bit Library: Games
Step 2.- Locate the game of your choice and click on the respective image.
Step 3.- You will be shown a preview screen of the game you want to play. At the bottom you can see details such as developer, date of publication of the original title, for which other systems it was published, genre, description, etc.

Additionally, on the right you will find a table with the option to download it. Click on SHOW ALL and look for the ATR, XEX or corresponding format file.
Step 4.- Press the green power button that appears above the image.
As you can see, Internet Archive uses the well-known arcade emulator MAME; which in turn,runs the Atari800 emulator
Step 5.- the numeric keypad instead of the joystick to move:
Key 4> left
Key 6> right
Key 8> up
Key 2> down
Key 0> shot
Regarding the function keys, we have:
F1- START
F2- OPTION
F3- SELECT
One detail: don't forget to press the speaker icon at the top right of the screen to listen to music and sounds.
Separately, you can activate the full screen icon; or press the ESC key to return to normal mode.
