Framed in the puzzle category, its dynamics remind us of "Robbo", the classic saga by Janusz Pelc for the XE/XL series; and "Baba Is You", the award-winning title by Finnish Arvi "Hempuli" Teikari.
"ADAM Is Me" confirms the indisputable: that Poland is the center of the current Atari 8-bit scene in Europe.
Set in our apocalyptic times, the android protagonist is sent into outer space to discover a cure for a virus that threatens humanity.
ADAM must explore eight planets, with a total of 64 levels available. To complicate his mission, the appearance of a black hole forces the hero to readjust the laws of physics at each stage.

This translates into properly combining tiles with English words to form commands. BOX-IS-PUSH means, for example, that an on-screen object - such as a chest - can be moved.
You only need to complete 40 scenarios to complete the challenge. Wisely, your progress is recorded so you can pick up the action again whenever you want.

The production involved several figures from the Polish scene: Jakub "Ilmenit" Dębski (code); Marek "Koala" Ogłodek, Marek "Xeen" Cora (intro); Adam "Ooz" Powroźnik (graphics); Michał "stRing" Radecki (music), among others.
It debuted in mid-November 2020, on the "Gramy na gazie" channel, in a three-hour broadcast. Its creators decided to give the disk image as a Christmas present to the Atari community, via AtariAge and AtariOnline.

The title requires 64 Kb of RAM. Oddly enough, it offers PAL and NTSC support. Apart froma complete manualBilingual, "ADAM Is Me" is available in a cartridge version, accompanied by a LEGO kit to build your own robot. A real work of art.
EVALUATION
Solving 40 puzzle stages may prove challenging, but it's certainly too much for casual players. Those who lack basic English skills or the patience to learn the language should also avoid it. However, the graphics, music, and other unique features make up for any objections. Highly recommended.FILE: ADAM Is Me
