Renowned programmer Robert Jaeger (USA) posted a video of the first room created in the last 37 years for his game Montezuma’s Revenge.
As you can see, it has combined two types of enemies (spiders and skulls), as well as different obstacles - such as vines that catch fire, fire traps and disappearing floors.
"You need to move quickly to catch the burning ropes in time," says the description of the video posted on theNormal Distribution LLC channel(the Jaeger company) on YouTube.
Additionally, the creator of the remembered platform game highlights the value of the scepter or hammer. "It is an object that was not used enough in the production version of the 80s."
Let us remember that, at the end of 2020, Jaeger shared a short video titled «Montezuma’s Revenge 48k Atari version «Director’s Cut» teaser» where he announced the official full version for Atari 8-bit computer users.
On the other hand, Konstantinos "TIX" Giamalidis (Greece), with the support of Paul "Playsoft" Lay, presented "Montezuma's Redux" last year: a modification of the classic platformer with new animations and improved graphics; apart from including an ending for those who managed to pass level 9.
