Ninety full-colour A4 pages is what we find in the first English edition of «Atari Fan», a magazine dedicated to all computers and game consoles with the «Fuji» sign.
Piotr «Kroll» Mietniowski, the publication's editor-in-chief, explained to Atariteca that the magazine already has six printed editions in Polish: four produced between 2000 and 2005; the fifth in 2017 and the sixth in 2019.
For 2020, the editors decided to relaunch issue 5, which debuted during the retro festival Silly Venture 2017 (Poland). “Now is the time to show it to the world and print it in English,” he stressed. Precisely, the user nowy80Retro made a small documentary about the history of this magazine.
Among the sections of "Atari Fan" is "HARDWARE", which presents the results of tests of new devices; for example, the Fujinet project, the "C" distortion in the POKEY sound generator, and the Thunder, Storm and Lightning VME extensions for Atari TT computers.
In the SOFTWARE section, we have reviews of XL/XE series computer games such as The Rescue Expedition and Infiltrator; and an analysis of the gaming phenomenon Misja (Mission). There are also reviews of Rikki & Vikki (7800); Cometball and Endless Summer Surfing for Atari Falcon and TT; as well as web browsers for Atari ST / TT / Falcon.

The “PEOPLE” section offers information about famous people connected to the Atari community. This edition features an interview with Rodolphe Czuba, who developed a board that could be installed on the Atari Falcon expansion bus, multiplying its potential. And in “NEWS”, we will find articles dedicated to events such as the ABBUC 2020 retro contest.
Something special is that QR codes have been added next to the texts that redirect to the magazine's website, where additional materials (links, videos, downloads, etc.) can be discovered.
The renowned group LAMERS had already announced this special edition in an invitation for Atari 8-bit computers, presented at the recent Function 2020 retro event held from September 18 to 20 in Budapest (Hungary).
Mietniowski emphasizes that “Atari Fan” was entirely developed on an Atari Falcon 030 computer; along with the support of a computer dedicated to desktop publishing applications, the Hades 060. The legendary Calamus SLC 2015 “Complete Edition” was also used, an application created for the Atari ST computer.

“We want our journal to be published at least twice a year. We invite you to share your opinions and cooperate with our editorial team, especially those of you who wish to write articles for future issues,” he concluded.
The magazine can be purchased for 12 euros from its websitehttp://www.atarifan.xyz/ where you will also find a detailed list of articles available in this first English edition.
