    Tax Run for Atari computers

John "Grevle" Johnsen recently presented "Tax Run", a simple but addictive game for the Atari XL/XE series computers.

You play a taxpayer who must evade relentless tax collectors while collecting briefcases of money.

Each time you take loot, your enemies must work on a new tax and move a little slower - allowing you to escape them more easily for a while.

When the edge of the screen flashes, the difficulty increases and the tax collectors will move a little faster. Try to lure them into the corners so they don't surround you.

"I wanted to create something simple to practice programming assembler code, scoring routines, etc.," Johnsen notes on the AtariAge forum.

It should be noted that it has been several years since "Grevle" developed "Speedway One", the first clone of an Odyssey 2 / Videopac game for Atari 8-bit computers.
