Chilean Vladimir "VHZC" Zúñiga has been developing an endless runner game for Atari 8-bit computers, which he has named "I Ran."
This is a port of the multi-level obstacle course game he had already made for the Atari 2600 console. “I wrote a 4-color PNG converter so that I can now create backgrounds/title screens for the 4-color mode much more easily than before; so I switched from GR 14 to GR7,” he explains on the AtariAge forum.
He stressed that this is a project in progress. "There will be checkpoints like in the (Atari) 2600 version, but I will add them when I have more obstacles/screens."
Finally, he acknowledged that the title of the game alludes to theClassic tune “I Ran (so far away)” by the British band “A Flock of Seagulls”

"Yes, the game is called I Ran, as a subtle reference. The use of the song is not subtle at all and the song is copyrighted, so I'm sorry, I won't be using it," he said.
