The port of the colorful platform game Monty on the Run (Gremlin Graphics, 1985) and several demos for Atari computers is what we found at the most recent edition of the Silly Venture 2019 retrofestival.
About to be arrested by the authorities, Monty the mole must escape from home and head to the English Channel. First, he has to select the right items for his adventure.freedom kitand take all the gold coins that will ensure a pleasant existence.
The conversion was presented by the self-proclaimed duoatariBDSM, composed by "Count Ulrich von Chain" and "Marquise Liebling Pejcz". However, the Fandal website lists the authors as Marek "Konop" Konopka, Michal "Miker" Szpilowski and Krzysztof Wrobel.
The gameplay dynamics are simple and addictively friendly; it maintains the iconicmelody composed by Rob Hubbard; and the settings resemble the surrealism of endearing titles such asManic Minerand Jet Set Willy.

It should be noted that theMonty's Freedom KitIt served as an anti-piracy measure at the time: items only had numbers on the screen, forcing the player to consult the manual that came with the original game.
