Legendary programmer Robert Jaeger shared photos and a video of his latest project: an arcade machine with his classic platformer Montezuma's Revenge!

"It's something I wanted to do for fun, for my game room and the fans. No, it's not a real working version!" Jaeger told Atariteca.

For those wondering, the game runs on the well-known Altirra emulator.

Regarding his game, Jaeger said Montezuma has its roots in the days when coin-op video games were everything. "I don't really know much about the history. I'm not sure if the theme is more Incan or Aztec. I just thought it was a fun theme for a game that hadn't been made at the time."
