Atari: Road, invitro at Atariada 2019

Impressive is the most fair adjective for "Road", the in vitro for thenext Atariada 2019, to be held in Olomouc (Czech Republic) from 12 to 14 April.
The animation - running on a conventional Atari 800XL/130XE computer - is the work of Zdeněk "PG" Eisenhammer and Antonin "R0ger" Holik (graphics and code) with music by Hardcore.
"It's basically the result of experimenting with some algorithms for drawing roads," said Holik, who has ruled out the possibility of turning the demo into a racing game due to hardware limitations.
"There are too many limitations. This uses PMG for the road, that was the idea behind the experiments (...) I plan to talk about this kind of road algorithms at the Atariada meeting," said "R0ger".
"Road" was the winner of the recentForever 2019 retrofestival: "8-Bit Aliens", in the Atari demo category with 424 points.
Atari Club is the organizer of the seventhParty crowd: This event does not involve production competitions. Instead, it is a friendly meeting of people who know each other remotely and who normally only communicate with each other via the Internet.
