Distributed as part of theNew Year Disc 2016, the intro "Made with Atari 800" combines the talents of Swiss Atari native Filippo "Philsan" Santellocco, German Ralf "PPs" Patschke (programming) and Polish musician Michal "Miker" Szpilowski.

"I had this amazing image of over 100 colours and I wanted to show that you could also play a melody in stereo," says Santellocco, who is a self-confessed fan of Jakub "ilmenit" Debski's RastaConverter graphics converter.

"Philsan" recalls that in January 2015 he spoke with Patschke about the Quick programming language; and that he would love to add ascrollerfrom texts to your images generated with Rastaconverter.

"One day, (PPS) sent me a program that combines the Rastaconverter image with a scroller and an RMT melody (i.e. generated with Raster Music Tracker by the late Radek "Raster" Sterba). After some testing, in December 2015 I submitted the intros."Made with Atari 800"and "The Rocky Horror Show" which were later included on the 2016 New Years Disk."

The pencil image has a resolution of 160x212 pixels and 101 unique colors. The melody plays in stereo, using a dual POKEY chip. It is a cover of the song composed by Jochen Hippel for the Atari ST game "Astaroth."

It is worth remembering that "Philsan" has several other intros to his credit: in December 2016,He made one in tribute to actress Carrie Fisher, remembered for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars film saga. And more recently, last February, she contributed the image of theAtari cover of "Get Lucky"-the catchy and multi-award-winning song by the French duo Daft Punk.
