Programmer Janusz "shanti77" Chabowski continues to improve hisconversion of the classic shooter Bosconian(Namco, 1981) for Atari computers.
Last weekend, Chabowski posted his latest update on the AtariAge forum, which featured a highscore table with the top five scores.
At the end of each game, the player can enter three initials - provided that he or she has beaten the previous five best scores. The program even displays a greeting screen if the score achieved beats the record for the day.

Similarly, the programmer incorporated various RMT audio clips to temporarily "musicalize" the game's intro screen.
Also noticeable are improvements to the explosion animation; stations are now more detailed and bombs flash before impact.

On the other hand, enemies become more and more aggressive as you move from one level to another; shots fired by stations also affect hostile ships; and some of them give you more points.
