Marcin "The Montezuma" Sochacki presented new trailers forSIO2BT, your project for Bluetooth communication between 8-bit Atari computersand devices with such wireless technology.
Via the AtariAge forum, the author details that the device works with Atari computers of the XL/XE/XEGS series, through a software loader that "patches" the operating system and allows a transfer rate of 19200 baud.

"However, I would recommend replacing the OS ROM chip (on some machines it comes in a socket) with an EPROM containing the modified operating system," Sochacki stresses.
As if that were not enough, SIO2BT supports a high-speed mode, with a transfer rate of 57600 baud. However, it requires that the machine haswith Ultimate 1MBor Incognito card; or MyIDE II cartridges or SPARTA DOS X cart (from SDX 4.48).
As a file server, you can use a computer with any operating system (Windows/Linux/Mac) that can run RespeQt SIO emulation; or you can also use an Android smartphone, for which you must first Download the SIO2BT app-available on Google Play.
"The Montezuma" clarifies that the SIO2BT device does not work with original Atari 400/800 computers - in this case, the computers require an upgrade with the Incognito card. While the application is compatible with any device with Android operating system from version 2.1 onwards. However, it cannot be used with iPhones - since Apple's iOS system intentionally does not support Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP).

At the end of March, Pole Sochacki presented a SIO plug in "XL size". These are files for 3D printing - edited by his wife based on STL files downloaded from Thingiverse - thanks to which the retail price was reduced to 30 euros.
"The brown one matches Atari 800XL computers," says the German Atari user, who plans to add support for visiting Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) via telnet.
