This Saturday the final version of «Bobby Bearing», a port for Atari 8-bit computers of the isometric adventure game published by The Edge (1986), was released.
The project, led by prolific Polish programmer Mariusz "mariuszw" Wojcieszek, featured collaborations with José Pereira (title screen, loading screen and credits) and Marek “Poison” Pesout (music and effects).
Bobby Sphere, who lives in a futuristic metal world called Technofear, must find his four brothers and cousin within a certain time. You must help him locate one of his family members in each level and return them to the starting point.
The keyQallows you to activate cheat mode. However, you will lose points; and if there are any of Bobby's relatives in the current stage, they will disappear and you will not be able to complete the game.
«Bobby Bearing» requires 64K RAM and comes with stereo sound. "Mariusz" claims that the game has been successfully tested on Atari XL/XE computers with PAL video system, but also in NTSC mode in the Altirra emulator.

"In comparisonwith the preliminary version"I fixed the game speed and it now syncs so it shouldn't go too fast. Also, some of the code was optimized so it should be faster in those parts where it was slowing down before," Wojcieszek says.
