2016 starts in the best way with thedefinitive version of «Saboteur!», port of the original ZX Spectrum game for the Atari 8-bit computers.
"I'm glad I've implemented one of the methods I had in mind a few years ago to add color to a high-resolution game with over 120 individual rooms without using huge amounts of resources," Terrence "Tezz" Derby noted on the AtariAge forum.
He added that together with Mariusz "mariuszw" Wojcieszek they decided to abandon the port from the Commodore 64 version, realizing that the latter had removed details that did appear in the ZX Spectrum.
"I've put back everything that memory would allow (...) I've changed most of the graphics and the (text) font to make it like the Spectrum (version) with a few exceptions, like the barrels that I think look better on the C64," he said.

Another discovery was that some rooms change depending on the difficulty level selected. "I always thought it was just the guns, guards and attacking dogs that keep coming back with more intensity."
It should be noted that Michal "Miker" Szpilowski (music), Adam "Ooz" Powroznik (title screen) and Jose Pereira (testing) also participated in this project. «Saboteur!» requires 64 kb of memory to run.
