    Executive says Atari is virtually debt-free

    The 27th edition of theAtari User Magazinebrings an exclusive interview with Todd Shallbetter, Chief Operating Officer of Atari Inc., who provides details on how the legendary video game company plans to move forward after having almostovercome bankruptcy


    "The company is locateddefinitely in a stronger position. We have recapitalized; funds have recently been raised on the French market, andOur debt is now restructured. Apart from our day-to-day financial operations, the company is virtually debt-free," Shallbetter said in the extensive interview withSteve Wilds, editor of Atari User.

    This new issue brings aRanking of the 20 best games for the Atari 2600 console, which includes titles such as Enduro, River Raid, Pitfall! (Activision), California Games, (Epyx), Joust, Galaxian, Phoenix, Space Invaders (Atari) and Frogger (Parker Brothers), among others.
