Representatives of RPC Games indefinitely suspended the publication of theirCentron 3D game, scheduled by the Australian company for this Monday, July 7.

"Attention Atarians: It pains me to say this but... hereby, the publication ofCentron 3Ddue tounacceptable attitudesfrom the people of theAtari 8-bit forum from AtariAge", mentions a brief statement in thewebsite of the aforementioned company

In the text, "Pete" -who identifies himself asRPC Games Administrator- says the project will not be resumed untilreceive a written apology. "Some people on the Atari 8-bit AtariAge forum just don't appreciate the long hours and dedication put intoCentron 3D

Last weekend, another representative of the Australian company - who identified himself as "Steve"- reported that "Pete" was sick with a lung infection. Likewise, answeredin broad terms theabundant criticism from forum members, who from the beginningThey were skepticaltowards Centron 3D due to the refusal ofRPC Gamesdemonstrateconcrete advancesof the game.

"In our first meeting I told him (Pete) not to develop (Centron 3D) but he told me he wanted to please Atari users with a new game. If I had known I was going to get so much shit from you guys, I would have cancelled Centron 3D (...) I think this project is the biggest waste of my time and expertise," he posted on theAtariAge Forum

As expected, the unexpected tantrum generated awave of responses and new criticismin the face of what seemed like a justification for not fulfilling the promised program. What was not foreseeable was"Pete's" response, where it is committed tosend the game to user Snicklinin gratitude for being one of the few who "maintained apositive attitude" to Centron 3D.

Finally, this Monday "Pete"posted a video on YouTubewhere you can see some of thespritesof the game; however, it is noticeable that it is far from being a finished game.

Finally, it is striking that theRPC Games Press Releaseask the (potential)buyersfrom the game to send you yourdata by mailin order to contact them "once the singular problem is resolved." As regardsAtariteca, we wonder if this will be thefinal chapterof the "novel" around Centron 3D.
