We will show you how to install and configure a USB joystick to play with the Atari800Win PLus emulator. In our case, we will use a controller similar to the one shown in the following image.

To start, let's look at the menuInput -> Joysticks

In the options, we see that they are activated foract as a joystick: the numeric keypad (Numpad); the arrows and the right CONTROL key (Arrows + RCtrl as fire); and the other keyboard configurations are free to be programmed (Keyset AandKeyset B

Before connecting the joystick,We closedthe emulator program.

Then we proceed toconnect the remote controlin itportcorresponding to ourCPU. In our particular case,No additional software requiredl to install the joystick. This may change depending on your operating system version.

Now, we return toopen the Atari800Win PLus emulator. We review the menuInput -> Joysticksand we will notice that the first option available is precisely the newly installed remote control. We press theOK buttonand let's play!

Does anyone know how to write : (colon) with this emulator when using Basic? I need this information to program in Basic with this emulator. Any help is appreciated.

Hello Juan Carlos,
Hold down the SHIFT key and then press the tilde key. It's usually between the P key and the * (asterisk) key. Good luck!
