Several moons ago I downloaded -via aMule- this excellent version of the classic tune by the highly addictive Elektra Glide.
Googling its original name (BIT2+_Elektraglide_v2.mp3), I find out that the original version was composed by David Whitakker, although the cassette booklet claims it was the work of a certain Yekao - there are no further references to him on the Internet.
This remix, if you will, has arrangements by Chris Abbott and Darren Izzard, and was included as a bonus track on the digital album "Back in Time 2" (1999) from the C64Audio.com label (i.e. it is based on the Commodore C64 version of the game).
The virtual album contains, among other gems, versions of "Galway is God" -the Green Beret tune- and a medley of the Aztec Challenge theme, as well as C64 classics such as Ghosts'n Goblins and Terra Cresta. Highly recommended.
